Cancellation Policy

Effective date: May 17, 2026

1. Scope

This policy governs cancellation requests for tutoring bookings and subscription renewals on School Mate Buddy.

2. User-Initiated Tutoring Cancellation

• Users may cancel a booked session from their account before session start, subject to platform cut-off rules.
• Late cancellation or no-show may be marked non-refundable or partially refundable as per booking terms.

3. Admin/Platform Cancellation

If a session is cancelled by admin due to tutor unavailability, technical outage, or operational constraints, users are offered rescheduling or eligible refund processing.

4. Subscription Cancellation

• Users can stop future renewals before the next billing cycle.
• Current paid cycle remains active until expiry unless terminated for policy abuse or legal reasons.

5. Relationship with Refund Policy

Refund eligibility after cancellation is decided as per our Refund Policy.

6. Exceptional Technical Cases

Cancellations caused by verified platform-level technical issues are reviewed case-by-case and may be approved for refund or equivalent credit/reschedule.
