Refund Policy
Effective date: May 17, 2026
1. Scope
This policy applies to payments made on School Mate Buddy for digital plans and tutoring bookings.
2. Refund Eligibility
- Eligible: duplicate/accidental charges, failed transaction with amount debited, admin-cancelled tutoring bookings, and proven technical non-fulfillment.
- Generally not eligible: completed sessions, consumed digital benefits, or cancellation outside allowed terms unless required by law.
3. Tutoring Booking Refunds
- If a session is cancelled by platform/admin due to tutor/service unavailability, eligible refund is initiated to the original payment source.
- User-initiated cancellations are handled under the Cancellation Policy.
4. Subscription and Digital Product Refunds
Digital subscription payments are typically non-refundable after activation/usage. Exceptional disputes (billing errors, duplicate debit) may be considered.
5. Refund Processing Timeline
- Request review/approval: usually within 2-3 business days.
- Post-approval settlement to source account: typically 5-7 business days (bank/network dependent).
6. Refund Method
Approved refunds are processed only to the original payment method used during checkout, via Razorpay/banking channels.
7. How to Raise a Refund Request
Share your order/payment ID, registered email, and issue details through support contact for investigation.
8. Chargeback and Fraud Review
Transactions flagged as abuse, policy violation, or fraud risk may be investigated before refund decision.
